At present, there are separate (fragmented) services for “Next Generation Smart Living.” Individual solutions (products and services) are difficult to implement “under one roof.” They are provided by different manufacturers, on different platforms, in different languages, and often cannot communicate with each other in an integrated way. Last but not least, the price at which they can be acquired and used is quite high, and the final result complicates and burdens people’s daily lives instead of simplifying and actively supporting them.
In response to this problem, the concept of “Next Generation Smart Living” should include the use of advanced technologies and intelligent systems to improve quality of life and facilitate people’s daily routines. This concept covers various aspects of life, including home automation and digitalization, active care for all family members, healthcare, energy efficiency, security, and communication.
